It seems that many times a peek into a company's product quality and innovation can be ascertained by their client list. That could not be more true with Amsoil. While not a very well known or advertised fact, Amsoil is the leader in industrial lubricants, particularly in the booming wind power industry. In fact, several of the biggest players in the wind energy world use Amsoil exclusively for the gearboxes in these green energy giants. Florida Power and Light operates over 10,000 wind turbines across the United States. F, P&L uses Amsoil. GE, Siemens, Clipper and Alstom use Amsoil as the factory specified gear oil in their wind turbines. So, you wonder if Amsoil is the real deal? You can bet your wind turbine on it. For more information on Amsoil wind power products, visit Synwind. Here are a couple examples of a wind turbine gearbox with damage caused by a competitors oil and one that has been using Amsoil: The image on the left shows a gear surface that has been using Amsoil lubricants while the image on the right shows the same gear that was using an inferior competitor's product. This damage is caused by the formation of foam in the lubricant. When the foamy oil is compressed between the gear's teeth under the extreme pressures generated by these wind turbines, the trapped air essentially leaves dry spaces where metal to metal contact is allowed, resulting in the damage seen here.
Rest assured that Amsoil performance that is available for these applications is the very same Amsoil that you can get for your car, truck, boat, bike...whatever your needs, Amsoil and K16 Synthetics has you covered. Give me a call, text or email me for more information. It would be my pleasure to assist!!
